My Travel to Arc 1950
My husband was already at our apartment in Auberge Jerome and I flew out to meet him on Thursday 1st March. After catching a very early flight from Heathrow to Lyon, I walked up to the bus counter at the airport and asked whether the bus for Les Arcs had gone. The lady advised it had not and she pointed out the driver to me who was two feet away. After paying my 66euros (one way) , the driver took my luggage and put it on the bus, we then sped off to Moutier.
There was only myself and another person on the very comfortable bus, so I sat back and passed the time by watching The Devil Wears Prada on a portable DVD. Fab!!
At Moutier the bus stopped and a lady came on calling "Les Arcs" - that's me. The driver then took my bags off the bus and took them to a waiting mini bus, this time with just me on board, and off to Arc 1950 we went. The very kind mini bus driver then took my bags from the mini bus and put them into the lift for me so I could go straight up to our apartment. I didn't lift a finger (and I don't travel light). All this for 66euros.
I thought it was a totally wonderful service and for a woman travelling on her own it could not have been better. I am going back again next week so am hoping the experience will be just as good.
See you on the slopes. Christine
