Scandalous charges from the copropriété
Keith McDonald - a 'Classic' owner with Johanne Marois - has posted information about the dramatic increase in management and maintence charges. Those of us on leaseback deals don't see these charges directly, but there's a catch . . .
Keith writes:
We were horrified to receive our latest bill for the copropriété from HMC. In case anyone is not familiar with the arrangement I will give a brief overview. The maintenance of the communal parts of buildings (in our case the Refuge du Montagnard) is managed by a company called SGABI Simson. This is in fact one and the same as HMC. The copropriété is made up of all of the owners (including the shops) in a particular building and we collectively have the right to manage it as we see fit. Usually a management company is appointed.
