Owners' Association becomes a reality
According to the sous-prefete d'Albertville, we are to be listed in the Journal Officiel within 1 month, as Association number: 0731006359 "The Arc 1950 Owners' Association" (1950OA for short).
I'd like to thank everyone for their support in getting us this far. However in reality, the hard work now begins...
Andrew Beale, interim Treasurer, will be setting up the bank account now that we have been officially formed
Richard
Barlow, interim Communications Officer, is re-vamping the web pages,
and will include the sign-up process on line. This is so that the
administration can be automated: with near on 700 potential members,
there simply isn't enough time in the day for a paper based system.
Nigel,
Fabrice and I are working on the communique, including its French
translation, inviting all owners to join. This will go to all owners
in the village once the above actions are confirmed, via the Intrawest
mailing lists, we hope.
We are also planning the
first AGM, for sometime in the Autumn / early Winter. The agenda will
include amongst other things: ratification of the statutes, election
of the 2009 committee and voting on those specific items that the OA should to concentrate on in its first year .
We have another
committee meeting pencilled in for Mid August, after which more
information about the AGM will be available - where, when, what etc.
Please
bear with us while we set up the administration side of things, which
will include electronic publication of the documentation on here. In
the meantime if you have any questions, please feel free to drop an
e-mail to any of the interim team, and we will do our best to answer.
